Hurricanes - and why I want one in California
Let's talk about the weather.
Particularly hurricanes.
Ok, ok, I realize that it might be more interesting if I talk about everyday things like school or rant about my life. But honestly nothing eventful happened today so just bear with me.
Now, back to hurricanes.
I'm sure you heard about Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey and what not. How it's taking over the south and destroying thousands of homes and properties, causing high costs to repair everything. How so many people are helping each other survive and get through this by sending in help, food, and shelter, and money
Even total strangers.
To think that only a few weeks before, there was a rage about terrorism and "White Supremacy". To think that It's only been sixteen years since the horrific terrorism of 9/11. Man, people can really change when it comes to hurricanes.
Actually, I have something to confess.
I really, really, really wish a hurricane could hit California. DON'T UNSUBSCRIBE YET.
Yes, I sound really selfish and ungrateful, but I think my LA buddies get it. I mean, we've been in a drought for a pretty long time, and we celebrate when the rain finally finds its ways to Southern California.
Let me put this to you in an equation:

Let me put this to you in an equation:
Precipitation for Eight Hours = Second Christmas
Besides, a hurricane means no high school! And at this point, I'll do anything to get away from Mr. Wilt.
All jokes (and hopes) aside, living somewhere where a hurricane could strike is pretty tough. If the wind and rain are hard enough, it can very well destroy your home. I mean, I wouldn't mind if the school had a few papers soggy from the water...
Hurricane damage costs a lot, and it's hard to retrieve any of that lost stuff. Actually, my dad has a friend in Texas who was hit by Hurricane Harvey, and they were forced to evacuate and find a rescue shelter. Their home was destroyed. It takes a really big toll on people, and I really wish all those who are suffering from the hurricane the best of luck. And I'd like to give a big applause for being courageous enough to buy a home that can be submerged in water at any time. Kudos to you.
