How Unique Are You?
Does anyone else hate, hate, HATE Thursdays?
Well, guess what? I'ma joining you guys' club!
Thursdays actually used to be my most favorite days, but that was before high school knocked me out. It meant one more day till Friday, two days more till sleeping in, and three more days till Sunday.
Now, I'm a bit tired at the moment, probably because I stayed up till 1 today. I mean, technically it isn't my fault I did, I just couldn't fall asleep. I swear to god, either insomnia or chocolate will one day be the death of me.
Anyways, I don't have much to say to today, due to the fact I'm yawning and about to black out (jk, I'm just exaggerating), So I'm just going to post something I wrote yesterday for another class (I know, I know, lazy me), but I do hope you enjoy it - it's actually sort of interesting! Please forgive me today for this, but honestly, nothing crazy happened in school, and I ain't the type of person to make up stories - all my contents real! (And PG, just to let any parents reading this know).
And now, without further ado:

How Unique are You?
Ever feel like you were different from someone else? Maybe you thought you could make it to Camp Half-Blood. Maybe you're at your doorstep every day waiting for a letter from Hogwarts. Whatever the circumstance, you want to feel unique. Though flying with Harry Potter may not be possible, you might be able to do a few peculiar tricks with your body without knowing it.
Raising an eyebrow: Almost everyone can raise both eyebrows, but only half can raise only one, and there is a smaller minority that can raise either eyebrow. (My mother is one of them.) Raising only one eyebrow is harder than you think because the muscles around your forehead aren't used often. Usually, people who can raise an eyebrow or two get it hereditarily. Luckily, you don't need to blame your parents, because you can actually learn this trick on your own! Within a few months of practice slowly lifting up one or both eyebrows, your muscles around your head will strengthen and the brain will be able to send signals for quicker eyebrow-raising!
Touching your nose with your tongue: Only around ten percent of the population can actually touch their nose with their tongue! This can also be achieved by practice, though it depends on the person's genetics. For instance, it is better to have a pointy tongue when doing this, as the nose is then easier to reach. Just don't injure yourself!
Licking your elbow: It is said that only 1% of the population is able to lick their elbow. It is surprisingly very difficult to do it on the first try. I wouldn't recommend practicing. In fact, good luck actually doing it without hurting yourself or another person!
Sneezing with open eyes: Try this one the next time you have a cold and you're bored. There is a reflex that is set off in your eyelids whenever you sneeze as a defensive measure. However, it is possible for some people to sneeze with their eyes open. The percentage who can actually do it is unknown, though I reckon it will be quite low.
Shaky eyes: the shaky eye is a form of the disease called Nystagmus. Though most cases are involuntary, some rare cases are actually controlled by the people with Nystagmus. It isn't exactly genetic, and there isn't a way you can practice and get it.
Even if you have all or none of these unique characteristics, don't fret about it! You as a person are unique, and love yourself for it! Be proud of who you are, and never let anyone get you down by insulting you
